Liturgical Ministries

1.  ALTAR PARTY     

      The Altar Party is the group of lay people who assist the priest during the service. 

      Ordinarily, this consists of Acolytes, Crucifers, and Eucharistic Ministers.

2.  ALTAR GUILD    

     The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing the altar for services.  This entails the

     preparation of materials used during the service, preparing the altar with the proper linens,

      and washing and cleaning materials used during the service.

3.  CHOIR

     The choir is responsible for leading the hymns and service music music, and for providing

     occasional anthems during the service.

4.  LECTORS/READERS

     The Lectors and Readers read the lessons, lead the congregation in saying the appointed

      Psalm, and lead the Prayers of the People during the service.

5.  EVENING PRAYER

     Members of the congregation lead the Daily Office of Evening Prayer at 7PM every

     Tuesday and Thursday, as well as on the first Wednesday of each month.

6.  COMMUNION BREAD

     Parishioners bake the bread that is consumed during the service of Holy Eucharist.
